    Lesson 67 ( The third period )

    一、Teaching aims and demands.

    本課復習本單元學習的must,mustn’t用法;復習引導的條件狀語從句;重點復習、歸納以when,after和before引導的時間狀語從句。

    二、Organization. be omitted.

    Answer the following questions.

    1. Where did the old woman live?

    2. Why did she want to see the doctor?

    3. Why did she take the Indian’s arm?

    4. Why did she talk slowly?

    5. What did the doctor say?

    6. Why did everyone laugh?

    四、Teaching of new lesson. (用幻燈顯示)

    1. Listening:Listen to the tape for Lesson 67, then read after aloud.

    2. Drills and practice:

    1) Read and act dialogue 1 in pairs.

    2) Learn the sentences and then repeat them.

    3) Complete the following sentences (1-10).

    3.Language points. (用幻燈顯示)

    1)Why are you (still) in bed? 你為什么還在床上?

    in bed,意為“睡覺”、“在床上”、“臥床”;名詞bed前面不加定冠詞,謂語動詞一般用be,強調狀態。又如:

    She is in bed with a cold. 她感冒臥床(休息了)。

    Don’t read in bed. It’s bad for your eyes.

    別躺在床上看書,它對你的眼睛有害的。

    2)You must get up and get ready for school.

    你必須起床做好上學的準備。

    get ready for sth. 意為“為某事做好準備”。如:

    We must get ready for class. 我們必須做好上課準備。

    3)If you don’t go soon, you’ll be late.

    如果你不趕快走的話,你會遲到的。

    if引導的條件狀語從句,謂語動詞一般用現在時,主句的時態要用一般將來時。如:

    If it doesn’t rain tomorrow we’ll go skating.

    如果明天不下雨的話,我們會去滑冰。

    4)I don’t feel very well.

    我感到(身體)不舒服。

    feel在句起系動詞作用,表示身體狀況用形容詞well不用good。又如:

    I’m quite well. Thank you. 我身體很好。謝謝。

    5)What’s wrong? 你怎么啦?

    What’s wrong與What’s the matter的意義及用法一樣,可以接介詞with把問及的人或事物連起來。如:

    What’s the matter with your eyes? (What’s wrong with your ears?)

    你的耳朵怎么啦?

    6)…you mustn’t eat anything until you see the doctor.

    直到看過醫生后才能吃東西。

    …not …until…,意為“直到……才……”。如:

    He didn’t learn to swim until he was ten. 他直到十歲才學會游泳。

    I don’t know anything about it until you told me.

    直到你告訴我,我才知道這件事。

    7)歸納總結時間狀語從句。時間狀語從句常由連詞when(“當……時”)、before(“在……之前”),after(“在……之后”)來引導。如:

    When she reached home she had a short rest. 當她到家時歇了一會兒。

    After I finished my homework, I went to bed. 做完作業之后我才去睡覺。

    He thought hard before he began to write. 他寫作前構思了許多。

    狀語從句在句中的位置是相當靈活的,可以放在句首,也可以放在句末,放在句首時一般在從句的末尾加逗號。

    與if引導的條件狀語從句一樣,如果主句的動詞是一般將來時,when引導的時間狀語從句謂語須用一般現在時。如:

    I am going to be a doctor when I grow up. 我長大后要當醫生。
