第十八單元
一. 教學目的:語音, 詞匯及基本的日常交際用語, 和人稱代詞的用法.
二. 教學重點:常用詞組和人稱代詞的基本用法
三. 重點難點講解:
1. look after 照看, 照管
look after被用來表示對某人或某物的精心照料或照看, 有責任或義務使其不受傷害或損害. 例如:
I must look after my old grandma.
我必須照顧我的老奶奶.
2. other和the other
other指除已有的以外, 其他的不具體的人或事物. 例如:
What other things can you see?
你還看到了別的什么東西?
the other可修飾單數名詞, 也可以修飾復數名詞. 修飾單數時指兩個具體的人或事物中的另一個, 修飾復數時指具體的一群人或事物中的所有其余的. 定冠詞the具有特指意義, 不能省去. 如:
Is this your football sock? Where's the other one?
這是你的足球襪嗎?另一只在哪兒呢?
Some students are in the classroom. Where are the other students?
一些學生在教室里, 其他的學生在哪兒呢?
l 在上下文很明確的時候, the other后面的名詞可省去, 復數可用the others. 如:
I can answer this question but I can’t answer the others.
這個問題我能回答, 但其他問題我回答不了.
3. put away 把…收起來, 把…放好
可以說put sth. away 或put away sth. , 但如果賓語是代詞的話, 則須說put it/ them away. 如:
Please put away your other books.
請把你的其它的書放起來.
4. in the tree 和on the tree
當表示樹上有不屬于樹木本身的人或事物, 我們用in the tree, 當表示樹上長的葉子, 花朵, 果實時, 我們用on the tree. 例如:
(1)Can you see Tom in the tree?
你能看見樹上的Tom嗎?
(2)There are many apples on the tree.
樹上有很多蘋果.
5. I (don’t) think so. 我認為(不)是這樣的.
這是一句常用口語, 當對方提出一個觀點或問題, 你認為是對的, 可說I think so. 如果不同意對方的說法, 可說I don’t think so. 例如:
“ Is this book Mary’s ?” “ I think so.”
“ 這本書是Mary的嗎?” “我想是的.”
6. get down (從高處)下來
如果要表示從某一高處下來, 則在get down后面接from介詞短語. 如:
I don’t think the little boy can get down from the table himself.
我想那小男孩不能自己從桌子上下來.
7. What’s wrong? 怎么啦?
當我們詢問對方某人或某物出了什么問題時, 常說 “What’s wrong?” 例如:
“Can you help me?” “Certainly, what’s wrong?”
“你能幫我嗎?” “當然, 怎么啦?”
*What’s wrong的后面可以接with介詞短語,典具體詢問某人或某物出了什么問題, 如:
What’s wrong with his pen?
他的鋼筆怎么啦?
8. Don’t worry. 別著急.
我們勸對方別為某人或某物擔憂時, 常說此句. 可以在worry后面接about介詞短語, 表示為某人或某物擔憂. 如:
Don’t worry about me.
別為我擔憂.
9. give的基本用法
give表示 “給”, 當我們說把某物給某人的時候, 說give sth. to sb. 或give sb. sth. 但如果所給的東西用代詞來表示時, 就只能說give it/them to sb. 例如:
Please give the ball to Tom. = Please give Tom the ball.
請把這只球給Tom.
Please give it to her. (不能說…give him it.)
請把它給她.
10. Thank goodness! 感謝上帝!
這是個感嘆句, 主要用來一件困難的事情終于結束或完成時, 表示一種緊張后輕松的心情. 例如:
My brother is all right now. Thank goodness.
我弟弟現在康復了, 真是謝天謝地!
11. 不發音字母kn, wr
本單元的語音中提到兩組不發音字母, kn組合中k 不發音; wr組合中w 不發音, 請同學們注意掌握.
l 提醒: knife 這個詞復數形式很特殊, 要變為knives.
12. 人稱代詞小結.
本單元中還進行了人稱代詞的小結, 要求掌握.
