教學步驟
一． 問題探究與拓展活動
1.How much和how many的用法區別：how much與how many的意思基本相同，但前者用來修飾不可數名詞，也可單獨使-用，意思是“多少錢”；后者用來修飾可數名詞復數。如：How much are the pants?這褲子多少錢? How much is the book?這本書多少錢?How much bread d0 you want?你要多少面包? How much meat is there on the table?桌子上有多少肉?
How many apples d0 you want?你要多少蘋果? How many students are there in your class?你們班有多少學生?
練習設計
用how much和how many完成下列表格。

2．Can I help you?
在講英語國家的商店里，售貨員見到顧客常說“May I help you?”您買東西嗎? “Can I help you?” “What can I do for you?”而不說“What do you buy?”因為這樣顯得無理.
3．基數詞10～31的構成。
英語中的數字有簡單的記憶方法！
仔細觀察，分析，它們是有一定規律的。請按以下三組進行觀察分析1)one～twelve；2)thirteen～nineteen：3)twenty～ninety.
1)one～twelve拼寫和讀音都不同，每個都要記2)thirteen～nineteen這七個單詞都以teen為結尾。3)twenty～ninety這七個單詞都以ty為結尾。
英語中這些數字，是表示多少的詞，統稱為基數詞.幾十幾在十位數和個位數之間要使用連字符“-”如：31 thirty-one，98 ninety-eight。
4．襪子、褲子和鞋子的表達方式：在英語中，襪子、褲子和鞋子都用復數形式來表示，但是在表達一雙襪子、鞋子或一條褲子時，可運用a pair 0f(一雙；一件；一條)詞組，當這個短語做主語時，謂語動詞用單數形式。如：
The white socks／shoes／pants are$50．那襪子／鞋子／褲子是50美元。
I want a pair of socks／shoes／pants．我想要一雙襪子／鞋子(一件褲子)。
The pair of socks／shoes／pants is very cheap．那雙襪子／鞋子(那件褲子)很便宜。
二．詞意辯析
1．each與every的異同：each與every都可以作形容詞用，意思是“每個的；每一的”，一般可以互換，后跟單數可數名詞；但each還可以用作代詞，單獨使用或跟of短語，而every則沒有這種用法。如：Each／Every student has a hat．每一名學生都有一頂帽子。We have a hat each．我們每一個人都有一頂帽子。Each of them has a hat．他們每一個人都有一頂帽子。
2．buy與sell的異同：buy的意思是“買”，常用于buy something from…(從……買某物)；sell意思是“賣”，常用于sell something to…(把某物賣給……)。如：I buy a basketball from the store．我從商店里買了一個籃球。He sells the tennis racket to me．他把那只網球拍賣給了我。
三．熟悉課本句型，利用圖片，模仿購物
Clerk: Can I help you?
Mary: Yes, please. I want a sweater.
Clerk: What ______ do you want?
Mary: Blue.
Clerk: Here you are.
Mary: is it?

四．教室變成商場，真實購物
1.同學們先熟悉自己所穿衣物的英文名稱，并聯想自己穿的各種衣物，找出相應的英文名詞、形容詞等。
2.模擬買賣衣服的現場，練習相關對話。

教學探討與反思
本單元主要是學習“詢問和談論價格”等目標語言，而這個知識與實際生活聯系密切。我們每個人都買過東西，在買東西的過程中一定要進行比較與選擇，比較與選擇的過程就是詢問與討論價格、顏色、大小與款式的過程，就會運用到本單元所學習的知識。所以，要想讓學生真正掌握本單元的目標語言，就要給學生提供這些實際的交際活動，通過這些活動運用所學的知識
